SUMMARY

It's the middle of the night, but try as hard as he might, Christopher can't sleep. He keeps hearing a noise thundering through the house: HONK SHOO!

Could it be an elephant trumpeting outside his window?
Or a bear in his closet?
Maybe it's a dinosaur stomping down the street?

Christopher gathers up all his courage, and readers follow close behind as he tiptoes down the hall to find out where or what the noise is coming from.

MY REVIEW

Christopher is a little boy who is trying to go to sleep in his grandparents home. As he is lying there, he here's an odd noise and uses his imagination to think of what could be causing it. As his imagination gets bigger and bigger and leads him out of bed to investigate out down the hall and thinking of the most peculiar animals that could never be found inside of a house. Never having a scary thought or moment, Christopher's idea are fun and exciting to keep your little on curious and smiling, but yet sleepy enough to stay in their own bed for the end.
Imagine Christopher's surprise when he finds where the noise is coming from and gets to jump into bed and snuggle in with his grandparents!

The illustrations and colors of the book look soft, simple and snuggle-like; it definitely reflects the mood and feel to falling asleep. All of the characters are sweet, adorable, funny and friendly.

Christopher Sat Straight Up in Bed is sure to become a favorite and memorable bedtime story for everyone.

  1. I've been looking for more picture books to read to my younger siblings before bed, actually, and this one sounds great! I love how the colors are kind of soft and snuggle-like, I think that'll be perfect for a before bed story. I'm definitely going to have to buy this one, or suggest the library to get it, because it sounds perfect!

Thanks so much for sharing, Margie! <3
